From Friday, September 5 to Sunday, September 7, the
Czech Darts Open 2025 in Prague is scheduled. This is the eleventh tournament on the PDC European Tour. We head into the final session in Prague.
After the Flanders Darts Trophy last week, the
Czech Darts Open is the next event in a series of Euro Tour tournaments leading up to the European Darts Championship at the end of October. The 32 best players on the European Tour qualify for this final tournament, so the coming weeks will decide who we will see back in the Westfalenhalle in Dortmund at the end of next month.
Luke Humphries starts the tournament as the defending champion. 'Cool Hand Luke' was too strong in last year's final with an 8-1 win over surprise finalist Kim Huybrechts. Sunday afternoon's matches from the last sixteen are scheduled in Prague, and below you can read which players will appear at the oche.

First up in Prague is the battle between the World No.1 and one of three Dutchman into the final session at the Czech Darts Open. Luke Humphries defied Martin Schindler earlier on sealing a 6-3 win with three 180's and escaped as such due to 'The Wall's poor doubling hitting 3/9.
While Nijman was effortlessly good as he took down Rob Cross 6-3 averaging close to 101 in the process. He hit four 180's and a high checkout of 146 en route as he took down 'Voltage'. The Dutchman has been superb this weekend and now will get the chance to topple a World No.1 who has been shaky as of late and is there potentially for the taking.

Stephen Bunting v James Wade
This in theory could unlock an all Dutch final in the process as instead of Van Veen or Wattimena, Humphries or Nijman would face either
Stephen Bunting or James Wade in the semi-finals.
Bunting has been one of the best players on the circuit all season and he is World No.4 for a reason as he heads into the World Series of Darts Finals for instance next week as the top seed. He also dazzled last time out on the ProTour reaching a final and winning a title so in reality is very much one of the players to beat.
He did struggle though against Peter Wright earlier and even Kevin Doets yesterday was not a stroll through the park. So he will need to watch it especially against a James Wade who has taken down both Nathan Aspinall and Ross Smith. 'The Machine' complained about the sweaty stage yesterday but still piled in a ton plus average and he has continued on from the World Matchplay where he reached the final.
He decided to go on holiday instead of playing in Australia and New Zealand and seems to be even more refreshed to battle the second half of the year. So perhaps outside of Littler and Humphries, these are the two to watch in regards to a top tie as the next two off the rank form wise.

Gian van Veen v Gerwyn Price
Onto the second half and perhaps the tie of the round as
Gerwyn Price faces Gian van Veen. Price saw off his World Cup of Darts teammate, Jonny Clayton earlier this afternoon in a superb 6-4 win.
It would be very on brand for Price after a hand injury to win the tournament straight afterwards after his form look threatened. Clayton for instance has been one of the best players on the planet in recent months so it could've tripped him up but it didn't.
While Luke Littler has now lost the last three to his rival Gian van Veen who won through 6-4 and snapped the winning streak of the Nuke outside of the ProTour as he has won the Flanders Darts Trophy, both World Series and also the World Matchplay recently. Could it be the Dutchman's time?
He will have to get past the Welsh juggernaut first though to seal that. So it won't be easy.
Josh Rock v Jermaine Wattimena
Onto the final match with the winners facing each other as
Josh Rock could meet Price. 'Rocky' will aim for Double Dutch delight as after taking down Michael van Gerwen earlier, it is Jermaine Wattimena.
Van Gerwen averaged 112 last night and was superb but wasn't as good today and 'Rocky' took him down. While Wattimena made light work of Ryan Searle. A return to form for 'Machine Gun' would be a welcome currency his end as he has a European Championship final to defend. Unlike Edhouse who might not even qualify, he is in the pound seats to return to Dortmund. While after losing the final last week, Rock will have designs on going one better this time. All of this and the semi-finals and final in one session to come.
