Wales came through their opening round tie against Finland 5-2 at the World Cup of Darts surviving a late fightback from Marko Kantele in particular who pounced on a downturn from the duo of Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton.
But for Price, he is looking forward to a discipline that suits them as a team in singles and playing to their strengths.
"It didn't feel like we were in cruise control all the way through the game, I mean Jonny scored pretty well through the game. I checked out alright early on but I think we kept ourselves under a bit too much pressure," said Price on Sky Sports.
"We didn't score as well as we could all the way through the game. First round is always the hardest one, now we go into the singles so we'll come into our strength I think."
He was also asked if he still makes Wales the favourites for the title.
"I think so yeah, we all know how well we can both play and I knew that obviously the first round is always the hardest one, it's like trying to play a slow player up there, it's tough to get some rhythm."
