Price first through to PDC World Darts Championship Quarter-Finals, eases past De Sousa

The fourth round has began at the PDC World Darts Championship with Gerwyn Price easing through to the Quarter-Finals with a 4-1 sets win over Jose de Sousa.
Price produced a 94 average, eight 180's and a high checkout of 100 and fended off a late revival from De Sousa who nicked a set but couldn't trouble 'The Iceman' who will face Gabriel Clemens or Alan Soutar.
Price pinned 95 to break and go 2-1 up in the opening set. He took the set on double four. He missed 71 on double 20 for a hold and De Sousa broke on double 10.
A 74 checkout was missed by De Sousa for the set and Price held throw. De Sousa missed 121 for the set and Price broke to go one away with the throw from 2-0 in sets which he sealed on double five.
De Sousa missed 117 for a break in set three and Price hit double 10 to go 1-1. He missed 67 on double 20 for 2-1 as well as more darts and this allowed De Sousa to hold for 2-1. He then hit double six for 2-1 down in sets.
Price missed 117 for a break but returned with a second double 18 for 92 missed. ‘The Iceman’ sat two on the wire though on double 10 and De Sousa took out double 18 for 1-1 in the fourth set.
A 97 checkout on double 10 saw Price go one away. He hit a seventh 180 but couldn’t pin 100 for the set and De Sousa took out 56 to send it to a decider but Price took out 64 to seal the set.
De Sousa missed darts to hold and Price got a shot to break but missed double 20. De Sousa returned as a result for double one.
De Sousa missed 158 for a break and Price levelled at 1-1 with a hold on double 10. De Sousa held again on double eight at 2-1.
Price missed two darts to hold but De Sousa missed 112 on double 16 which allowed Price back for double 10 and he hit 100 on the same target for the win.
