Price makes winning return after Premier League disappointment, Humphries survives Dobey comeback

Gerwyn Price has returned to the European Tour for the first time in four tournaments and made a winning start after his Premier League Darts disappointment at the European Darts Grand Prix.

Price lost at the O2 on Thursday night to Michael van Gerwen who has decided against playing this weekend and has headed to New York early, but instead of withdrawing himself, it is back to business.

He saw off Ricky Evans 6-2 which featured five 180's, a 96 average and he pounced on 13.3% on the outer ring and an average of ten less from Evans who failed to find his scoring power to trouble the Welshman.

Prior to that, Luke Humphries battled past Chris Dobey in a thriller which he should've won a lot easier than he did.

Dobey battled back from 5-1 down to force a deciding leg after eight missed match darts from Humphries, only to miss three match darts himself and Humphries got a reprieve to start his title defense.

Joe Cullen is also through with 'The Rockstar' producing when it mattered most against Josh Payne in a tough test.

He sealed it 6-5 smashing in a 108 checkout to claim it and move through to the Last 16 joining Price and Humphries.
