Gerwyn Price saw off exciting talent Adam Gawlas to set up a quality Quarter-Final at the
European Championship with Michael van Gerwen.
Price was glad not only to claim the win but to also receive some support in Salzburg during his win over the Czech ace.
"It was a really slow start, he flew out the blocks. I think first leg two 180's and broke me, I think the 119 to get me back to 2-1, I could have been 3-0 down in that game. After being 2-0 down, I won 10/11 legs, I gave myself a kick up the backside and played brilliantly in the middle part," said Price to Online Darts.
"In England everybody's on my back and everytime I come to Europe, it's brilliant. It goes to show if I'm not put off, I can play some fantastic darts and not just put a show on for everyone in the crowd but everyone back home as well."
He also looked ahead to his tie with Michael van Gerwen on Sunday afternoon with the winner potentially coming from the top tie.
"It'll be good for the crowd, it'll be good for the people back home whoever comes through it. It'll be a good game."
