Gerwyn Price will renew his rivalry with Michael van Gerwen this evening as the final of Week Four of Premier League Darts action in Dublin is complete.
Price faced off against Michael Smith in the opening semi-final on the Emerald Isle and continued to have the luck of the Irish wearing Green as he eased through in a 6-1 drubbing of the World Number One.
'The Iceman' moves into his second weekly final of the campaign after winning Night Two and will hope to add to his tally and hit the top of the table. En route to the win, he produced a superb 102 average with four 1`80's.
Now he will face a familiar rival in Van Gerwen who is yet to win a week yet after losing in the Week One final to Chris Dobey who he defeated earlier this evening.
He saw off Jonny Clayton in a 6-3 win with a 95 average, five 180's and 66.7% on the doubles as he looks to get on the board in his title defence.
Going 4-1 up early on with a 12 darter, it looked like an easy win for Van Gerwen but Clayton started a mini revival with a 116 checkout followed by hitting double 20 for a hold to go one behind. But this mini revival was quelled as MVG pinned an 88 checkout for the win.
