Van Gerwen produces comeback decider win to seal Night Four of Premier League Darts in Dublin over Price

Michael van Gerwen is on the board in this year's Premier League Darts

He had to fight his way back into a tie against his rival Gerwyn Price who missed handfuls of match darts to defeat the Green Machine who reigns supreme on the Emerald Isle.

Van Gerwen reached the final in the opening week in Belfast but joins the other three different winners so far in Price, Chris Dobey and Michael Smith.

He had to come from 5-2 down to seal it though as he looked to suffer another final defeat but took his chance against 'The Iceman' who melted under the pressure.

To begin the tie like alluded to, Price went 5-2 up with Van Gerwen squandering nine darts at a double in going 4-2 down and the Welshman helped himself to go one away.

But Van Gerwen stopped the rot and with the pressure off began to produce. Price missed two match darts off 90 and Van Gerwen suddenly sent it all the way to the decider in which Price would have one more chance to hold and seal the win.

Leaving 160 with Van Gerwen back on 178, the Green Machine could only pressure with a 140 and hope more misses would come. That they did as he missed two more match darts.

Van Gerwen had one dart at double eight for the win but did not seal it. He returned though with more match darts going begging and pinned double four.
