Gerwyn Price is the first player through to the semi-finals at the 2020 UK Open Darts after defeating Dimitri van den Bergh in the first tie of the day in Minehead.

Price was in excellent form averaging 102, four 180’s and three ton plus finishes in a 10-5 victory against ‘The Dreammaker’.
The difference between the pair came on the doubles with Price hitting 10/18 with Van den Bergh only hitting 5/12 meaning that despite both averaging 102, ‘The Iceman’ held the edge on the doubles which led to the victory.
Price always held the advanced going 5-2 up and 6-4 up but the turning point came with a 109 checkout followed by a break of throw which put the former 8-4 up.
More costly missed doubles saw Price go one away and from there he claimed victory and he will be part of the draw later on.
