Gerwyn Price has returned to winning ways in the Premier League Darts in emphatic fashion with a brilliant win over Gary Anderson 7-1 with a 99 average.
Price didn't have the best time on Tuesday night losing out to Nathan Aspinall with his doubling a major issue as well as the crowd noise he later revealed.
He produced a strong start though hitting a 180 and double 20 for a 14-dart opening leg. This continued with a hold of throw with an 11-darter hitting a second 180 and double 10.
Four missed darts at doubles from Anderson allowed Price to claim a 3-0 lead and this was consolidated with a break of throw at 4-0 up as he looked to be cruising.
Anderson had what in the end was a consolation hitting a 116 checkout to make it 4-1. This was soon dispelled though by Price who had a hold and another break to go within one and assure himself of a point.
This was confirmed with a 14 darter as he hit as Anderson missed an 81 checkout chance and Price pinned 25 to win.
