Gerwyn Price and James Wade are the latest players to complete group wins at the Grand Slam of Darts with victories over Robert Thornton and Ian White respectively.

Price survived match darts to defeat Robert Thornton but is not fully through yet, he does have his destiny in his own hands though as a result of defeating the Scot.
Wade similarly had to survive a scare against Ian White. He came from 4-2 down to edge past 'Diamond' in a 5-4 win with a 99.8 average and a brilliant 121 checkout en route.
Thornton missed ten missed darts at doubles in the early stages as Price levelled at 1-1 but he went 2-1 up with an 81 checkout but it ended up at parity on level terms. A second 81 checkout from Thornton saw him lead though.
'The Thorn' missed double eight for a 136 checkout and Price punished to make it three-all. Thornton though led 4-3 as he looked to be heading towards the finishing line but again it was taken further with Price hitting a 23 dart leg to send it all the way.
From there, the Scot missed two match darts in the deciding leg and Price took out 94 to seal the points in a 5-4 win in Group C.
White fired in a 180 and an 82 checkout with an 11-darter to lead Wade in the opening stages. 'The Machine' missed two darts at double 12 and White superbly hit an 82 checkout on the bullseye to lead 3-2.
He hit a fourth 180 and double 16 as White struck another 11 darter to go one away. Could he hold his nerve and win through?
He missed a match dart at tops and Wade broke back to trail 4-3. It was a 121 checkout on the bull with some typical Wading which saw a decider forced.
It was one that was won by Wade in a brilliant performance which sees him improve his stature in Group B.
