The PDC Summer Series has been completed with a remarkable standard on show but it was Gerwyn Price who topped the standings for the highest averages.
Price hit an average of 115.62 during a 6-0 win over
Steve Lennon on Day Two. He also hit high averages of 113.14 and 109.48 during the five day tournament in Milton Keynes.
The second highest average on the list is a losing average with
Devon Petersen hitting 113.47 on Sunday which was not enough to defeat Price in the semi-final. It was the highest recorded average ever for the South African.
Ian White (113.25),
Ryan Meikle (111.33) and
Rob Cross (110.12) are the only other players to break the 110 average barrier.
Just outside of those players include the likes of
Gary Anderson (109.98),
Jose de Sousa (109.26) and
Peter Wright (108.96). The true indicator of the high standard is that there wasn't a high average in the list under 108.
