Price wins all-Welsh battle with Clayton as Van den Bergh continues dominant spell over Aspinall, first semi-final set in Nottingham

The first semi-final is set in Nottingham on Night Seven of Premier League Darts action as Dimitri van den Bergh will face Gerwyn Price later this evening.

Van den Bergh opened the night and continued his dominant spell over Nathan Aspinall as well as his superb return to Premier League life so far. The highlight being a 126 checkout on the bull in a 6-4 success.

It could've been even easier for Van den Bergh who surged into a 3-0 and 5-2 lead over 'The Asp' but he made it 5-4 after two missed match darts which allowed the latter to hit a 70 checkout but the 126 checkout stopped the comeback in its tracks in superb fashion.

While in another iteration of World Cup teammates and close friends in Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton took place with 'The Iceman' keeping his cool against 'The Ferret'.

He sealed a 6-4 victory with a 97.6 average to advance to a tie with Van den Bergh. Initially going 2-1 up, Clayton sealed parity at 3-3 and hit the front at 4-3 but didn't win another leg from there as Price turned it around with a break at 5-4 and pinned double 10 for the win with Clayton waiting on 66.
