The PDC Winter Series ended the PDC ProTour season and for the most part the World Championship field is now confirmed with only the Grand Slam of Darts and Players Championship Finals able to change this now.
The provisional list takes into account prize money being removed from the respective tournaments two years ago and first round money for both added, so it could change but ever so slightly.
Michael van Gerwen is currently top seed but it has already been duly noted that the likelihood of him remaining World Number One is fairly unlikely with Peter Wright likely to take over the top spot at the end of 2020.
But he will be at least for the World Championship with Wright in second. Gerwyn Price is currently third as he looks to defend the first of his two Grand Slam titles. He is ahead by some distance though to Michael Smith and Rob Cross who are fourth and fifth.
Nathan Aspinall, Dave Chisnall, James Wade and Ian White round out the top 10 going into the World Championship.
While the likes of Gary Anderson and Glen Durrant sit on the fringes with the latter in particular heading towards the top 10 in only his second year.
Further down, Devon Petersen and Jose de Sousa are two players who have also had excellent years and especially in the case of the former, he will qualify through the Order of Merit likely for the first time after years of having his Tour Card potentially on the line at the season ending event.
The ProTour Qualifiers list is also stacked with Damon Heta leading the way after a superb first year which has seen him claim a maiden PDC title albeit with not being able to take part in a section of the season due to the Coronavirus travel restrictions.
First time winners Ryan Searle and Ryan Joyce also find themselves high on the list. While Dirk van Duijvenbode, a major finalist will make his return for the first time since his infamous game against Raymond van Barneveld in 2016 when he busted 180.
Martijn Kleermaker, Jeff Smith, Derk Telnekes, Scott Waites have all come through their first year in the PDC with a spot after for the most part barring Smith all playing at the BDO version a year ago.
The last player currently qualified is John Henderson and this will only not be the case if Justin Pipe who is set to appear at the Grand Slam of Darts wins the tournament.
In terms of the International Qualifiers, the likes of Challenge Tour standout David Evans will make his debut, Keane Barry will return and Lisa Ashton and Deta Hedman will be involved after winning the Women's Series.
There are also returns for CDC duo Matt Campbell and Danny Baggish. While German ace Nico Kurz was one of the first to qualify at the restart through the German Superleague.
The ever improving multiple Soft Tip World Champion, Boris Krcmar nearly was in the ProTour spots but has qualified anyway. With other players such as Ryan Meikle and Haupai Puha also on the list.
There are still 13 players still to be confirmed which include spots designated for the PDC Asian Tour which couldn't take place so there is still some interesting developments to come on that side.
