Race to World Darts Championship 2024 in full swing; we reveal the virtual field of participants as things currently stand

Over the next three months there are two Euro Tours, nine floor tournaments and four ranking TV tournaments on the darts calendar. So for the PDC players, there are still plenty of chances to secure qualification for the World Darts Championship in December.

All the big names such ad Michael van Gerwen, Gerwyn Price, Michael Smith and Peter Wright will be more guaranteed qualification and with a high seeding to boot. But looking down the list there are still some familiar names who are far less certain of appearing at the Alexandra Palace.

One notable name who is currently outside of placing for the World Darts Championship is Vincent van der Voort. The 47-year-old Dutchman has participated in all editions of the World Championships since 2008, but has fallen out of the world's top-32 since last World Championship and is currently ranked 36. Van der Voort is having a mediocre year on the Pro Tour and is well outside of placing for the Players Championship Finals and the World Darts Championship.

The top two on the Challenge Tour also get to participate in the World Championship. Those spots are currently held by Berry van Peer and Christian Kist. On the Development Tour, in addition to Luke Littler, Wessel Nijman will also make his debut at the Alexandra Palace.
