Nathan Rafferty has sealed a seventh PDC Development Tour title with victory over Niko Springer in Event 22 in Wigan.
Rafferty defeated forerunner Josh Rock with a 106 average in the semi-final to secure a debut at the PDC World Darts Championship.
He will seal it definitely through the Development Tour and could still make it with the ProTour.
The PDC Development Tour circuit consists of 24 tournaments in 2022. Last year there was a separate tour for British and European players due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but this year both circuits have been merged again.
Each Development Tour tournament has a prize fund of £10,000. With the prize money a ranking will be made. At the end of the season the numbers one and two will receive an invitation to the PDC World Darts Championship, plus a Tour Card for 2023 and 2024.
