Chris Dobey's run of producing superb displays and getting beat has continued onto the European Tour as he ran into a rampant Josh Rock to conclude Saturday night at the Belgian Darts Open.
In the match of the tournament so far, Rock produced a blistering display averaging 107, with seven 180s and missing double 12 for a nine-dart finish before following it up with seven darts next leg.
This while Dobey hit a 104.39 average in getting only two legs losing 6-2 to the recent first-time European Tour finalist.
His poor run has been compounded also by the fact that he has failed to qualify for the next few European Tours so his European Championship is in doubt.
But short term, Rock is into the final day and he was joined by Michael Smith.
The crowd was utterly electric for Dimitri van den Bergh on Friday night, but they now remain without a home hope after 'The Dreammaker' departed.
It was a 6-2 win over Van den Bergh for the World Number One who averaged 102 and complimented the crowd for their response amid recent partisan crowds on the European Tour booing and whistling players.
