Remarkable: Gerwyn Price on run of seven straight ton-plus averages at the Grand Slam of Darts

Next Saturday the Grand Slam of Darts will kick off in Wolverhampton. Gerwyn Price has already managed to win the tournament three times.

Price prevailed in 2018, 2019 and 2021, last year he went down 16-13 in the quarterfinals against Raymond van Barneveld.
Remarkably, Price averaged above 100 in each of his three group stage matches last year, (against Ted Evetts, Raymond van Barneveld and Dave Chisnall). Also in his last 16 tie against Danny Noppert and quarterfinal against Van Barneveld he was above the hundred average.
Added to his semifinal and final in 2021, Price has now reached an average of over 100 each time at the Grand Slam of Darts for seven matches in a row.
The 38-year-old Welshman hopes to continue that series this year. The draw for this tournament will take place on Monday, Nov. 6.

I think if he stuck around the BDO he definitely would have been World Champion, should have won in 2014, he never really showed any of his talent in the PDC. - This is exactly what I mean,littler survives the 1st round,I think you'll find a lot of other players did. Can you just report on the real sport,and not just 1 person. I like Luke,but this is getting boring now,as Kevin painter once said to Taylor!! The sport is about every player,not 1 who everyone seems to have put the sport on the map.,which he hasn't,he's just got in when the money is massive.
