Gian Van Veen reminisces about Toon Greebe: "He gave me a lot of good advice and I will always be grateful for that"

Recently, the dart world had to say goodbye to Toon Greebe far too soon. The Dutchman died at just 35 years old.

Gian van Veen has fond memories of Greebe. "When I just started darts I hung out with him a lot. He lived near me and I met him at almost every tournament, he gave me a lot of good advice and I will always be grateful for that," van Veen said on the podcast 'Double Top'.

"Afterwards he also took me in tow as a young guest, Toon was really a great guy, who was always in for a joke as well.

"In recent years our contact had become somewhat diluted and we each went our separate ways," Van Veen continued. "I knew he was not doing well, but still his passing came as a surprise. This is a very big loss for the dart world."
