Results and standings PDC Europe Super League: Nico Kurz biggest name in group stage exit

Thirty darters from German-speaking countries have been competing for a spot in the knockout phase of the PDC Europe Super League, an event in which a starting spot for the World Darts Championship can be earned.

The participants were divided into five groups of six players each. On Tuesday and Wednesday, the players played once each against the other players in the pool. The top three players from each pool advanced to the final sixteen, as did the top number four.

In Group A, Dragutin Horvat, Franz Roetzsch and Liam Maendl-Lawrance advanced to the elimination stage. Horvat and Roetzsch both won seven of the 10 matches, while Maendl-Lawrance came to six wins. Former World Championship participant Nico Kurz fell short of advancing with five points.

Dominik Grüllich was the best player in Group B with eight wins. Lukas Wenig (seven points) and Arno Merk (six points) also managed to survive the shuffle. Group C was the pool of Pascal Rupprecht and Max Hopp, among others. They managed to get through the pool phase together with Leon Weber. Hopp scored six points, while Weber and Rupprecht earned seven points from their 10 matches.

In Group D, the standings are led by Kai Gotthardt with eight points. René Eidams (seven points) and Paul Krohne (six points) also scored enough points to advance to the last sixteen. In Group E, the top three consisted of Kevin Troppmann (seven points), Daniel Klose (six points) and Steven Noster (six points). The top number four also came from this pool. Of all the numbers four, Andree Welge was the only one who managed six points.

The PDC Europe Super League continues its knockout phase on Thursday. On Thursday, the eighth finals are scheduled at Halle 39 in Hildesheim. A day later, the quarterfinals, semifinals and final will be played consecutively.
