The 14th Players Championship event of the season will be played during the first day of the PDC Autumn Series. All results can be followed in our live blog.

The PDC Autumn Series consists of five Players Championship tournaments from September 12-16. All results during this five-day event count towards the PDC Autumn Series Order of Merit.

Update 16:40 - BST Time - Wright eases past Razma to win PDC Autumn Series Day One title

Peter Wright has eased past Madars Razma to win on the first day of the PDC Autumn Series - he was successful last time out in the PDC Summer Series - can he continue in that vein going forward this week.

Update 16:40 - BST Time - Wright produces brilliant comeback to dispel Van Gerwen, will face Razma in final

Peter Wright is set to face Madars Razma in the final on Day One of the PDC Autumn Series after producing an excellent comeback against Michael van Gerwen in the semi-final.

Wright was 5-2 down and came back to defeat Van Gerwen and end his charge in a 7-6 victory. The World Champion averaged 109 to the World Number One's 102 in a thriller.

Razma will take part in his second PDC ranking final winning another agonising semi-final against Devon Petersen who himself missed the bull for the match in the decider.

Update 16:00 - BST Time - Van Gerwen v Wright and Razma v Petersen set for semi-finals

The semi-final line-up has been confirmed on Day One of the PDC Autumn Series with Michael van Gerwen set to face Peter Wright in the big tie.

Wright swept aside Glen Durrant in a 6-0 whitewash win averaging 99 in a match which could be the final at The O2 later next month.

While Van Gerwen eased past Krzysztof Ratajski 6-2 to set up a clash with his great rival. In the other side of the draw, it sees 32nd seed Devon Petersen continue his brilliance when he takes on Madars Razma - who always seems to go well this time of year.

Update 15:10 - BST Time - Wright v Durrant and Van Gerwen v Ratajski among Quarter-Final line-up

The Quarter-Final line-up has been confirmed on Day One of the PDC Autumn Series and among the ties include Peter Wright against Glen Durrant in a Premier League clash which could end up being the final at the O2.

Also Michael van Gerwen who is going back to his old faithful darts today will take on Krzysztof Ratajski. While in the top half is very much wide open with Devon Petersen against Jesus Noguera being one of the Quarter-Finals.

While Jelle Klaasen against Madars Razma bookends the other top half game. Who will come out on top?

Update 14:25 - BST Time - Petersen produces revenge win against Price with 107 average

The Last 32 is complete on Day One of the PDC Autumn Series with Devon Petersen getting revenge after his defeat at the Summer Series where he averaged 113.

'The African Warrior' has been in terrific form and he hit a 107 average to dispel 'The Iceman' 6-2 who himself averaged 102.

There were also victories for Peter Wright (d. Dimitri van den Bergh 6-2), Michael van Gerwen (d. Stephen Bunting 6-3) and Glen Durrant (d. Jeffrey de Zwaan 6-0).

While Dave Chisnall is out after a brilliant win for Boris Krcmar who produced some remarkable exhibition finishing to win. He went double 17 to leave 36, he hit the single 18 to go double nine in a 6-1 win.

Update 14:00 - BST Time - Price survives scare against Mitchell, Cross dumped out by Sedlacek

The second round is complete in Niedernhausen with Gerwyn Price through but he had to survive a scare to do so against former Lakeside World Champion, Scott 'Scotty Dog' Mitchell.

He came from 4-1 and 5-3 down to edge past Mitchell with a 12-dart 102 checkout in the decider proving pivotal for 'The Iceman'.

Rob Cross will not be joining him though as 'Voltage's woes continue. After seeing off Marko Kantele in the first round, he lost out to Karel Sedlacek in a 6-3 defeat averaging just 85.

Jose de Sousa has continued his charge. He has hit a 102 average in seeing off Reece Robinson in a 6-3 win.

Lisa Ashton also could find herself facing Michael van Gerwen in the Last 16 for a place in the Quarter-Finals, this comes after a 6-3 win over Ron Meulenkamp.

Update 13:15 - BST Time - Van Gerwen returns to old darts and continues early charge in Germany

Michael van Gerwen has seemingly changed back to his old darts to begin the PDC Summer Series after his woes in the Premier League and it seems to be working so far.

Victories over Krzysztof Kciuk averaging 101 6-4 and then seeing off current World Youth Champion, Luke Humphries 6-2 has given fans of Mighty Mike hope that he can return towards his best this week.

Update 13:00 BST Time - Victories for Van den Bergh, Chisnall and Petersen as first round completed

The first round is completed at Players Championship 14 - PDC Autumn Series Day One and joining the main seeds through include the World Matchplay champion Dimitri van den Bergh.

Van den Bergh began his day with a 6-1 win over Barrie Bates averaging 97. Dave Chisnall is another player who has also joined the second round line-up but only just after a 6-5 win over Jamie Lewis.

The race to the World Grand Prix will also be a major talking point and in a tough assignment, Devon Petersen who wowed so many last time out is through after a 99 average in edging past Kai Fan Leung 6-4.

Martijn Kleermaker (d. Daniel Larsson 6-3) and Dirk van Duijvenbode (d. Mike de Decker 6-3) are also after debuts in Coventry and have also opened up well.

Update 12:30 BST Time - Wilkinson hits nine-dart finish during Cullen defeat

As the first round comes to a close on the opening day in the PDC Autumn Series, a nine-dart finish has been hit by Carl Wilkinson during a defeat to Joe Cullen. He went the usual 180, 180, 141 route but it didn't stop him heading out.

Update 11:40 BST Time - Van Gerwen, Price and Wright all through first hurdle in Germany

The first round so far barring Michael Smith losing out to Lisa Ashton has seen the seeded players come through almost unscathed.

Michael van Gerwen has edged past Krzysztof Kciuk in a 6-4 win averaging 101.4. While for Gerwyn Price, it was a 100 average in seeing off Mickey Mansell 6-2.

Peter Wright saw off a potential tough first round opponent in Callan Rydz 6-2. Jose de Sousa was as usual impressive seeing off Damon Heta averaging 104.8; Heta himself averaged 102.3 on his return to the tour but lost 6-2.

There were also early wins for the likes of Ian White (d. Christian Bunse 6-3), Nathan Aspinall (d. Mark McGeeney 6-1) and Premier League opening phase winner Glen Durrant (d. Aaron Beeney 6-1).
