Michael van Gerwen has decided to go back to his old darts, which he used before switching to darts manufacturer Winmau.
The world number one has been under contract with darts supplier Winmau since this season. That also meant that after years of throwing the same set of arrows, he switched to new equipment. Van Gerwen put in his contract that he could switch back to his old darts. The 31-year-old Dutchman has now taken advantage of that opportunity. Van Gerwen has not been in best form in recent weeks, resulting in an early elimination from the World Matchplay and missing the play-offs in the Premier League Darts.
In the meantime, Van Gerwen already tried a switch of arrows within the Winmau range. That offered no solution, so Mighty Mike chose - at least temporarily - to play with his old 'magic' darts. Van Gerwen won three world titles, five Premier League titles and many other majors with those arrows.
