Luke Littler got revenge on
Michael van Gerwen on Thursday night as The Nuke edged a gripping 8–7 victory in Norwich, flipping the result of their meeting in Tampere earlier in the week on a night where
Karel Sedlacek also made his mark with standout wins in the undercard action.
As mentioned, the pair had already collided earlier in the week at the
International Darts Cup in Tampere, where Van Gerwen took the title. In Norwich, however, Littler held his nerve in a last-leg decider to flip the script and grab the spotlight.
A busy night of action in Norwich
The event featured a strong line-up and plenty of additional matches that kept the crowd involved from start to finish. Karel Sedlacek produced one of the standout displays of the night, sweeping
Stephen Burton 4–0, while also getting the better of Van Gerwen 3–1 in one of the challenge matches,
according to MODUS’ own updates. There was more Dutch representation through
Vincent van der Voort, and the evening was overseen by iconic referee
Russ Bray, adding to the big-night feel that drew plenty of attention from darts fans.
With top players filling this part of the calendar with
exhibitions, nights like these continue to offer value on two fronts: they provide a useful tune-up heading towards the 2026
PDC World Darts Championship, and they give fans the chance to see – and meet – the sport’s biggest names in a relaxed, close-quarters setting.
