For more than two years now, Ricardo Pietreczko has been one of the most consistent players in the upper tier of the world rankings. The German is firmly established in the top 40 and, by 2023 at the latest, had attracted international attention.
At the German Darts Championship he celebrated his biggest success to date, beating Peter Wright in the final. Particularly remarkable: Pietreczko hit all eight attempts at the doubles.
This triumph was no flash in the pan. In the months that followed, Pietreczko confirmed his level. Two quarterfinals at the European Darts Championship and another final on the European Tour underlined his development. Now living in Hanover, the pro finally cemented himself as a permanent fixture on the international darts circuit.
Pietreczko also impressed on the biggest stage. At the World Darts Championship he wrote German darts history. He is only the second German player ever to reach the last 16 at the Worlds. His performances earned recognition not only at home, but also internationally.
All the more surprising, then, came different news at the start of the year. Shortly before the Winmau World Masters Pietreczko announced the end of his collaboration with his previous supplier Datadart. That made it clear: Germany’s number two would be playing new equipment going forward. Speculation didn’t take long to surface.
Many expected a move to one of the big, established manufacturers. Names like Winmau or Unicorn quickly did the rounds. Winmau had long had a German pro in Florian Hempel under contract, but he had to accept the loss of his Tour Card at the end of 2025. Accordingly, it was considered likely that one of these manufacturers would look to sign a German Tour Card holder again.
But Ricardo Pietreczko chose a different path. On Friday afternoon he unveiled his new supplier—and delivered a real surprise. Precise 180 will provide the equipment for Germany’s number two from now on. “The next step,” says Pietreczko in the announcement video explaining his decision.
Precise 180 first became known for high-quality, colorful number rings for dartboards. Later came its own board, which received strong approval, especially within the German scene. The brand quickly built a solid reputation, particularly online.
Until now, Precise 180 mainly relied on influencers. Players like Paul Meyer, Bela_Darts, or Achh Carlos received their own darts and generated reach on social media. Landing Ricardo Pietreczko is now a real coup for the company. He is not only the first professional in the team, but also an established top-40 player.
For Pietreczko, the switch also means a step closer to home. He moves from an English to a German supplier. Precise 180 is based in Weiden in the Upper Palatinate, east of Nuremberg. The brand is particularly strong within the German online community.
“Dynamic, professional, clear vision. With my new partner Precise 180, the next chapter of my darts career begins,” explained Pietreczko. A quote that shows: This move is more than just a new set of darts—it’s a consciously chosen fresh start.
