Josh Rock continues to impress and has moved into the Quarter-Finals of the
Hungarian Darts Trophy in some style in Budapest punishing Dirk van Duijvenbode to seal a superb win.
Van Duijvenbode missed six match darts against the Northern Irishman and was punished to the hilt as Rock piled in a 126 checkout on the bull to seal it before letting out a ferocious roar.
Rock took a 2-0 lead thanks to a 140 checkout and a 14-darter, however Van Duijvenbode returned to the foray with an 11-darter and two 13-darters to give himself a 5-4 lead after making it 2-2 previously.
But having his first chances to seal it, he missed five match darts and Rock forced a deciding leg and despite a solid start from the Dutchman, he missed one match dart on double 16 from 70 before Rock sealed it.
He will now play
Dave Chisnall in the Quarter-Finals who added a rare win over Boris Krcmar who had the better of their head-to-head record but will now have to go on a run in Belgium to secure his European Championship spot.
After a leg full of missed darts at doubles, Chisnall took a break at 3-2 before cementing it with a 102 checkout and in a pivotal moment, he pinned a 170 checkout.
Another flourish saw him seal it 6-3 with a 121 checkout and the St Helens ace will be one of the favourites now to add another
European Tour title if he can get past the unstoppable Northern Irishman.
