The first round has began at the German Darts Grand Prix in Munich with Berry van Peer, Lee Evans and Callan Rydz taking their spot in Sunday's second round in mostly dominant displays.
In the battle of the hard-style walk-ons which would give anyone tinnitus, it was Dutch Open champion Van Peer who made the right impression. He eased past Jules van Dongen in a 6-1 win with a 97.2 average and 75% on the doubles.
While after a good return to the European Tour last week, Lee Evans impressed again to open his Munich account. He coasted past Alan Soutar in a 6-2 win with a 95.2 average and three 180's.
Finally Rydz sealed his first win on the European Tour this season. He saw off Matt Campbell in a 6-3 win with a 95 average and 66% on the outer ring.
In terms of their next opponents, Van Peer faces Josh Rock. While for Evans and Rydz, it is Peter Wright and Dirk van Duijvenbode.
