Callan Rydz ran riot again on Wednesday afternoon sweeping Nathan Aspinall with ease as the Bedlington ace surged into the Last 16 where he will face Alan Soutar for a place in the PDC World Darts Championship Quarter-Finals.
Rydz spoke afterwards and he said the plan all along was to target the injury of Aspinall by giving him no chance.
"I knew he's got that injury on his arm and I do wish him the best but I'm glad that I never gave him a chance to win a set or anything. I punished him when he missed so I'll take that all day everyday but we know every game is different," said Rydz post match.
"That's the plan you know he's injured so the pressure's already on him and with the injury he's got it's not good in your right arm but when I went 2-0 up, I just thought go 3-0 and you can relax."
But he is not thinking ahead at all and is taking it game by game starting with the surprise package Scot, Alan Soutar.
"For me it's game by game, we'll move onto Alan Soutar now. I'm not thinking about the Quarter's, Semi's but if I beat Alan then I might think about it. I know how hard this tournament is with such great players involved so yeah we'll see what happens."
