The UK Open will only consist of five sessions this year with the usual Saturday merged together into one, it has been revealed.
Usually there is play in the fifth round of the
UK Open on Saturday afternoon, with the sixth round in the evening but due to ITV, the host broadcaster of the tournament hosting another sporting event on Saturday afternoon, this decision has now been taken.
This means now it will begin at 3:30pm in the afternoon and will play all the way through, all other sessions remain unchanged. This includes Sunday which will begin at the normal time of 12:45pm with Quarter-Final action.
