The
Saudi Arabia Darts Masters which is due to take place between January 19-20 and forms the second part of the World Series double header between Sakhir in Bahrain and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia is due to have a bonus added to it.
Albeit in typical Saudi Arabia style, it is something that ordinarily wouldn't be aimed for. The first part will be though as there will be £100,000 for a
nine-dart finish at the inaugural
Saudi Arabia Darts Masters presented by Riyadh Season who are well known for adding for instance a golden break in snooker.
If a
nine-dart finish is hit, the bonus could be doubled following the introduction of the so-called
Riyadh Season Bullseye. if the nine-dart finish is hit during the event, the player won't have to do it when they restart the 501 and they will be given one dart at the bullseye to double their prize to $200,000.
This would be the biggest prize pot for a
nine-dart finish in PDC history. Luke Littler achieved perfection on the World Series stage in Bahrain in 2024 and he will head up the line-up in Saudi Arabia for the next addition.
This no doubt will see "The Nuke' who won £1m at the World Championship lick his lips at the potential of not only hitting a
nine-dart finish but trying his luck at £100,000 more to add to his prize pot. This on top of the £30,000 for winning the title so for those winning it, they could walk away with nearly quarter of a million. Not bad for two days work.
This does not include the Bahrain Darts Masters which is currently ongoing in Sakhir which does not fall under the RIyadh Season umbrella so is not the same.
