Friday afternoon sees the
Dutch Darts Championship begin in Zwolle which is the eighth
European Tour of the season and as a result means for the first time since 2019, a European Tour tournament will be played in the Netherlands.
Ian White won the 2019 Dutch Darts Masters in Zwolle by beating Michael van Gerwen in the final. A year earlier, White had also won the Dutch Darts Championship in Maastricht.
Van Gerwen won the Dutch Darts Masters from 2014 to 2018. Simon Whitlock (2012) and Kim Huybrechts (2013) also won a Dutch European Tour event in the past.
As always the opening day sees the first round take place and the ties with the seeded names set up and among those in action on Friday include Jelle Klaasen who will play in back-to-back European Tour events and will face Sebastian Bialecki first up. Michael van Gerwen awaits the winner.
Damon Heta awaits the winner of one of the standout ties between Connor Scutt and Scott Waites, while other matches include Jim Williams facing Ritchie Edhouse and Boris Krcmar starting off against Steve Lennon. Action begins at 12:00pm BST and is available on PDCTV.
