The action continues as the first round will conclude at the
German Darts Open on Friday night which will include Raymond van Barneveld, Josh Rock, Daryl Gurney and Martin Lukeman all in action in Jena.
Starting off the session is Danny van Trijp who after two Challenge Tour titles could find himself on the PDC ProTour next season against a player who will need the win as he is in danger of losing his in John Henderson.
Following that is Rock who has been one of the newcomers of the year on the PDC ProTour and also has shone on the Development Tour like Geert Nentjes has in recent years. A match with the calibre of a final on that secondary tour, it will take centre stage on the
European Tour on Friday.
As will Gurney who last week talked up Josh Rock as the future of Northern Irish darts and the present is 'Superchin' and he will aim to take care of business in a similar fashion to last week's first round when he defeated Nathan Rafferty with a 105 average. Connor Scutt is his first opponent.
The first of two Germans in action this session is Lukas Wenig who has impressed this year when he has played on the European Tour and will look to take the scalp of Alan Soutar.
Sandwiched in between Gabriel Clemens who is also involved facing Martin Lukeman is Raymond van Barneveld who makes it back-to-back weeks on the European Tour and he faces a tough test in Ian White, a finalist last time the tournament was held in his opener.
