The final day of action is here in Jena as 16 players remain to battle for the
German Darts Open title, the 11th
European Tour of the season.
Luke Humphries has his sights set on a fifth of the season and will hope for better than last week when Boris Krcmar accounted for him but getting to the final day has already bettered that. A high quality tie on paper awaits as he faces Dave Chisnall.
The winners face each other which mean that Humphries or Chisnall will meet Daryl Gurney or Joe Cullen in back to back standout ties as following on is Peter Wright continuing his return and facing Jonny Clayton for a spot in the Quarter-Finals.
Damon Heta or Ross Smith after two superb wins over Alan Soutar and Danny Noppert await the winner of that tie, while Gerwyn Price will renew his rivalry with the crowd when he faces home hero Martin Schindler who will have a scalp in mind.
Steve Beaton after marking his stage return with a win over Nathan Aspinall faces Jose de Sousa, while Rob Cross who thrashed Martin Lukeman in a standout win takes on Krzysztof Ratajski.
Then to finish the session could standout in Luke Woodhouse facing Dimitri van den Bergh with the Quarter-Finals set to be confirmed.
