Schedule and preview Sunday afternoon session 2022/23 PDC World Darts Championship including Van den Bergh-Clayton and Smith-Bunting

Happy New Year to all which means that we are only two days away from crowning the latest World Champion with darting action restarting on New Years Day at the PDC World Darts Championship.

It is Quarter-Final Sunday with a double dose of darts starting this afternoon with Dimitri van den Bergh facing off against Jonny Clayton.

It is a tie which stemmed from Kim Huybrechts dumping out Peter Wright followed by Van den Bergh seeing off his World Cup teammate with ease, while for Clayton, it was rising star Josh Rock who was defeated.

While in the second Quarter-Final, Stephen Bunting acted as the spoiler seeing off Dave Chisnall then Luke Humphries to reach this point with another superb run for 'The Bullet'. He faces one of the favourites for the title now in Michael Smith who is on a potential collision course with Michael van Gerwen many feel in the final.

But can 'The Bullet' pay heed to that? His game in the opening few rounds can suggest he can but the St Helens derby will see the winner crowned.

Sunday January 1

Afternoon Session (1230 GMT)

2x Quarter-Finals

Dimitri Van den Bergh v Jonny Clayton

Michael Smith v Stephen Bunting
