The evening session is only an hour away in Wolverhampton as the next round of players attempting to qualify or take one step closer to doing so take to the stage at the
Grand Slam of Darts.
Groups E-H take centre stage this evening with
Michael van Gerwen,
Peter Wright,
Luke Humphries and
Nathan Aspinall among those in action.
Van Gerwen started emphatically yesterday seeing off Nathan Rafferty and will look to join his compatriots Raymond van Barneveld and Dirk van Duijvenbode as the third in a trio of Flying Dutchmen through. He faces Luke Woodhouse, the other player sitting pretty in Group G.
Wright will have an all Scottish clash to contend with but of a different kind to the usual Gary Anderson tie as he faces Alan Soutar who saw off Nathan Aspinall yesterday. While in a high scoring affair, Luke Humphries concludes the night against Ryan Searle. That and Jonny Clayton - Jermaine Wattimena are those players who won initial ties yesterday.
On the other hand aiming to keep their hopes alive, Josh Rock faces Scott Williams, Damon Heta will take on Leonard Gates, Ross Smith faces Nathan Rafferty and Aspinall faces
Fallon Sherrock.
