After a stacked first round line-up with both sessions going in some cases into the morning after, the second round sees only four ties a night albeit at an extended format at the
World Grand Prix in Leicester.
The bottom half of the draw stars on Wednesday night starting with Adrian Lewis who has shown a darting resurgence this year at times including in his first round win over Jose de Sousa but will now face Chris Dobey who made light work of Luke Humphries - one of the initial forerunners for the title and it could be 'Hollywood's time to hit the 'Jackpot'.
The victor of that tie will face third up as Michael van Gerwen after seeing off an out-of-sorts Gary Anderson will face Stephen Bunting.
Peter Wright as ever was confident after beating Kim Huybrechts and faces a familiar foe in Krzysztof Ratajski with the final match of the night being a standout as Jonny Clayton, the defending champion faces Dimitri van den Bergh. Double start continues in Leicester with many of the forerunners in action.
