The final session is here at the 2024 Dutch Darts Championship with Michael van Gerwen hoisting hopes of a home hero win and if he doesn't, his compatriot Danny Noppert could seal it.
Van Gerwen followed up his resounding 6-0 victory over Kevin Doets by leaving Chris Dobey defenseless 6-1. Noppert has already crawled through the eye of the needle twice against Andrew Gilding (6-5) and Jermaine Wattimena (6-5).
Noppert was already in the final of the Dutch Darts Championship once in 2022. Then he lost in the final match 8-7 to Michael Smith. Van Gerwen did not manage to reach the final of this Euro Tour tournament once, although he did win the Dutch Darts Masters five times from 2014 to 2018.
The winner of the Dutch clash will face either Jonny Clayton or Ryan Searle in the semifinals. Clayton defeated defending champion Dave Chisnall (6-3) on Sunday afternoon, after 'The Ferret' won 6-0 over Moreno Blom in the second round a day earlier. Searle first recorded a hard-fought 6-5 win over James Wade, before beating Jeffrey de Graaf (6-1) by wide margins.
On the other side of the bracket, Luke Woodhouse and Martin Schindler will battle each other for a spot in the next one. Woodhouse disposed of Ritchie Edhouse (6-5) in the third round after an exciting match. Schindler defeated Dimitri van den Bergh 6-4.
Josh Rock and Gerwyn Price will battle it out between themselves who will be the last semifinalist at the Euro Tour tournament in Rosmalen. Rock won 6-5 from Cameron Menzies in the afternoon session after the Northern Irishman recovered from a 3-5 deficit. Price is impressing for now at this tournament with big wins over Mickey Mansell (6-0) and Gian van Veen (6-1).

TV and live stream

The tournament will be broadcast by PDC TV. As usual with Euro Tour tournaments, the Dutch Darts Championship consists of three tournament days. The afternoon sessions start daily at 12:00, while the evening sessions start at 18:00.
The first round will take place on Friday. The 16 Order of Merit qualifiers and the winners from the various qualifying tournaments then make their appearance. The top-16 seeded players enter the tournament on Saturday in the second round.
Sunday will see the conclusion of the tournament, starting with the third round in the afternoon session. Sunday evening will be followed by the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.

Distribution of prize money

At the Dutch Euro Tour tournament, a total of £175,000 in prize money will be divided among the 48 participants. They will receive at least £1250 in starting money. The top-16 seeded players who enter the Dutch Darts Championship from the second round will receive 2,500 pounds anyway.
They do - like the 16 Order of Merit qualifiers starting in the first round - have to win their first match in order for the prize money to count toward the world rankings and the other rankings. The winner of the Dutch Darts Championship 2024 will ultimately go home with the top prize of 30,000 pounds.
