The world's top players are visiting Wieze this weekend, where the new Euro Tour season opens with the Belgian Darts Open. Friday afternoon the first eight matches from the first round will be played.
Former UK Open champion Andrew Gilding plays against Ryan Joyce for a spot in the second round. James Hurrell will make his Euro Tour debut against Luke Woodhouse, while Chris Dobey will square off against Romeo Grbavac.

Three Dutchmen will take the stage during the afternoon session in the Oktoberhallen. Immediately in the opening match of the tournament the first Dutchman will be in action. Then Berry van Peer will take on Daniel Klose.
Later in the afternoon, Jermaine Wattimena plays two-time major winner Daryl Gurney. Gian van Veen crosses swords with Swedish qualifier Andreas Harrysson in the first round.
The Belgian fans in Wieze will also get to see two compatriots. Born van Put will battle Lukas Wenig, while Steven Strobbe may take on Brendan Dolan.
