The Euro Tour is already on its sixth tournament of the season. A fixture on the calendar is the stop in Sindelfingen, where the best darters in the world have been coming to play a Euro Tour tournament for years.
Sindelfingen debuted on the Euro Tour calendar in 2013, then with the European Darts Trophy as the tournament name. That tournament was eventually given a different tournament name, and since 2014 - with the exception of 2021 and 2022 - the European Darts Grand Prix has been held at the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen.

Remarkably, there have been as many as nine different winners in 10 editions. Michael van Gerwen (2016 and 2018) is the only player to win this tournament more than once. Other winners include Mervyn King (2014), Kim Huybrechts (2015), Peter Wright (2017), Ian White (2019), Jose de Sousa (2020), Luke Humphries (2022), Rob Cross (2023) and Gary Anderson (2024). Friday afternoon the first eight matches of the first round will be played.
Martin Lukeman v Benjamin Pratnemer
Originally Martin Lukeman was not even supposed to be in Sindelfingen, but a cancellation allowed 'Smash' to travel after all. With East-Europe qualifier Benjamin Pratnemer as an opponent, the Englishman also had a favorable draw to take full advantage of his substitute. Pratnemer is competing on the Euro Tour for the third time, but has never won a match on this circuit.
Cameron Menzies v Michael Unterbuchner
On the floor tournaments, Cameron Menzies is in top form this season, with a Players Championship title and two more lost finals. On the Euro Tour, 'Cammy' did not get further than a quarterfinal at the European Darts Trophy. The next step for Menzies is to compete for the title at the stage tournaments as well. Michael Unterbuchner was also there earlier this year at the tournaments in Göttingen and Munich, but failed to reach the second round.
Wessel Nijman v Bradley Brooks
Wessel Nijman will play sixth Euro Tour tournament of the season, as many as all his entries before 2025. This year, Nijman already made it to the final day three times on the Euro Tour, culminating in the quarter-finals at the International Darts Open. Bradley Brooks was just about the best player of the entire Q-School in January, but he hasn't really taken this form to the Pro Tour yet. The former junior world champion did not make it past the last 32 twice at floor tournaments. This event in Sindelfingen will be Brooks' first Euro Tour tournament of the season, although he has already played ten of them between 2019 and 2023.
Gian van Veen v Nathan Rafferty
Gian van Veen lost his first match in Austria last week, but had a fine final at the German Darts Grand Prix before that. It was already his third ranking final of the season for Van Veen, after losing a previous Players Championship final and the overall victory at Players Championship 5. Nathan Rafferty was also at the Austrian Darts Open last week, but also for the Northern Irishman the tournament was over after just one match. That was his only Euro Tour match of 2025 for now.
gian van veen 1
The Euro Tour season started decently for Ritchie Edhouse with a spot in the last sixteen at the Belgian Darts Open, but then 'The Madhouse' stranded twice in the second round and twice in the first round. This did cause Edhouse to risk losing his automatic placement for the Euro Tours. Opponent Connor Scutt does not have a good record on the Euro Tour. The Englishman previously played six but never made it to the second round, an unusual statistic for someone who was in a Players Championship final in 2023 and 2024.
Luke Woodhouse v Johan Engstrom
After a strong World Cup performance, Luke Woodhouse is still fairly invisible this season. 'The Shed' is often racking up his pounds, but there haven't really been any standouts with the exception of one quarterfinal on floor. Last year Woodhouse qualified in the nick of time for tournaments such as the World Matchplay and World Grand Prix and this year he still has a lot of work to do to qualify for Blackpool. Woodhouse currently occupies the last qualifying spot and there are a number of players breathing down his neck. Johan Engstrom represents an ideal opponent to grab some important pounds for the qualifying race. The Swede only managed to get through the first round twice in his eleven Euro Tour appearances.
Ryan Joyce v Leon Weber
After five out of 14 Euro Tours, Ryan Joyce is already almost certain to participate in the European Darts Championship, a tournament he has not participated in before. 'Relentless' has had three rock-solid Euro Tours with a final place in Göttingen, followed by a quarterfinal and a semifinal in Munich and Graz, respectively. Joyce will face Leon Weber in the first round of this tournament. The 22-year-old German is competing in a Euro Tour tournament for the first time in his career. Weber made himself heard last month by reaching the last sixteen of a Players Championship tournament.
Jermaine Wattimena v Daniel Klose
At the end of the afternoon it is the turn of Jermaine Wattimena, who made it to the final day for the second time this season on the Euro Tour last week in Austria. 'The Machine Gun' meanwhile is firmly in the qualifying rounds for the majors later this season and has also returned to the top-32 of the world rankings. In Sindelfingen, Wattimena will face Daniel Klose, who qualified for this tournament via the Host Nation Qualifier. In his seven previous Euro Tours, German survived the first round only once. Back then, Klose also made it to the last sixteen.

TV Guide

The tournament will be broadcast by PDC TV. As usual with Euro Tour tournaments, the European Darts Grand Prix consists of three tournament days. The afternoon sessions start daily at 12 p.m., while the evening sessions start at 6 p.m.
The first round will take place on Friday. The 16 Pro Tour players are then paired with one of the 16 players who managed to get through the various qualifying tournaments. The top-16 seeded players enter the tournament on Saturday in the second round. The denouement of the tournament follows on Sunday, with the third round first in the afternoon session. Sunday night the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals will follow.

Distribution of prize money

All participants starting from the first round are guaranteed £1250 in prize money, while the top-16 enter from the second round and receive £2,500 anyway. This amount eventually rises to the grand prize of £30,000 for the winner.
An important detail is that players who are automatically seeded via the Order of Merit and lose their first match will not be awarded prize money on the various rankings. This does apply to qualifiers who are later designated as seeded by the withdrawal of others.
