Friday night from 6 p.m. the Poland Darts Masters 2024 will kick off at the ProZero Arena in Gliwice. It is the second time this World Series tournament has been on the PDC calendar.

The first edition of the Poland Darts Masters in 2023 was convincingly won by Michael van Gerwen. At the time, 'Mighty Mike' played one of his best tournaments ever. After winning 6-3 over Adam Gawlas in the first round, he recorded an average of 110.79 per turn in his quarterfinal win against Luke Humphries (6-2). In the semifinals, Van Gerwen recorded a 7-3 victory over Michael Smith with an average of 104.02. In the final, Dimitri van den Bergh was left defenseless 8-3. Van Gerwen threw an average of 113.22 in this final.

Van Gerwen is also back at this edition. The 35-year-old Dutchman will face Karel Sedlacek in the first round in the fifth match of the evening. Sedlacek already has the necessary stage experience, as he has competed in five World Championships in the past. Luke Littler will also face a Czech opponent. 'The Nuke' faces off with Adam Gawlas, who surprisingly reached the semifinals at the 2023 UK Open.

Luke Humphries continues his hunt for a first World Series title in Poland. 'Cool Hand Luke' will do so first against Gyorgy Jehirszki, a Hungarian qualifier. Sebastian Bialecki and Jacek Krupka also won qualifying tournaments to participate in the Poland Darts Masters. It earned Bialecki a meeting with Rob Cross in the opening match of the tournament, while Krupka gets to face two-time world champion Peter Wright.

Nathan Aspinall was paired with Boris Krcmar in the draw. This is the second match of the tournament. Michael Smith will square off against Radek Szaganski, while Stephen Bunting plays against Polish world number one Krzysztof Ratajski.
