The touring darts circus has touched down in the German capital of Berlin this week, where the second round of play in the Premier League Darts will take place Thursday night.

The Mercedes-Benz Arena is hosting a Premier League night for the fifth time. In 2022, the playoffs were even played in Berlin. Then Michael van Gerwen managed to take the title at the expense of Joe Cullen.

Van Gerwen will be in action as early as Thursday night in his first match. He will take on Nathan Aspinall. Both players will try to rack up their first points in the Premier League, as they both lost their opening match last week in Cardiff.

The winner of the friendly between Van Gerwen and Aspinall will play Michael Smith and Gerwyn Price in the semifinals. This is a repeat of last week's final. Then Smith won 6-2 over 'The Iceman' in the final.

In the third match of the evening, Luke Littler faces Rob Cross. Next, the final quarterfinal will be between Luke Humphries and Peter Wright. Later in the evening, the semifinals and final will then be played.

The eight participants will play sixteen tournaments. It will be arranged so that a player meets the other participants twice in a quarterfinal. During two weeks of play, in the eighth and sixteenth weeks of play, the draw will be based on the points standings.

Points can be scored with results during the sixteen tournaments. A semifinal earns two points, a second place three points and a tournament win five points and a £10,000 bonus.

Based on these points, the new Premier League Darts rankings are formed. The top four players will advance to the Premier League Darts playoffs.
