Michael Smith will try to cement his lead position in the Premier League Darts on Thursday night. After Cardiff last week, Berlin hosts the second round of play later tonight.
Smith managed to take the overall victory in Cardiff last week by defeating home favourite Gerwyn Price in the final. In Berlin, the Englishman and the Welshman face each other early on, in the quarter-finals.
''Winning is winning, and I love to do it!'' Smith said to the PDC, ahead of the showdown in the German capital. ''There are still plenty of things to work on, but to get five points on the opening night is always nice!"
According to Smith, he made his mark with his weekly title in Cardiff. “I sent out a statement saying I know how to win – even if I’m struggling, I can still take out important shots and put everything together at the right time. I’ve got momentum going into Night Two, and there’s no pressure on me to chase points.”

- I completely agree with Vincent's comments on "whistlegate". It's great to have someone with Vincent's exprience address this issue, so hopefully clearer and stricter guidlelines can be given to referees, security and members of the crowd. No whistling during throws, and something like: whistlers evicted and fined a hefty sum.
