Thursday night the
Premier League Darts visits Brighton, where the sixth weekly tournament of this competition will be played. The eight participants will once again compete for the weekly title and the accompanying check of 10,000 pounds.
Michael van Gerwen will take on Rob Cross. Van Gerwen lost to Luke Humphries in his first match last week, but thanks to three weekly titles in a row in February, 'Mighty Mike' is still comfortably in the lead in the standings. Cross is currently number three in the Premier League. 'Voltage' only lost his opening match in this competition once in the past five weeks.
The winner of the duel between Van Gerwen and Cross will take on either Luke Humphries or Gerwyn Price. These are two men who desperately need the points, as they are currently numbers six and seven in the rankings.
Nathan Aspinall, last week's winner in Exeter, faces off against his young compatriot Luke Littler in Brighton. In the final quarterfinals, Michael Smith and Peter Wright will battle for a spot in the semifinals.
