It is already time for the eighth night of play in the
Premier League Darts. That means the program for the evening in Dublin has been determined based on the positions of the participating players in the Premier League rankings.
The number one takes on the eight, the number two takes on the number seven and so on. So for frontrunner Luke Humphries, a meeting awaits with straggler Peter Wright, who finally recorded his first win in this competition last week.
Michael van Gerwen has lost his lead after three consecutive defeats and plays as number two against Gerwyn Price, who has lost even four matches in a row in the Premier League. Price actually needs to win to see the gap to a top-four ranking not increase further.
Nathan Aspinall will face off with Rob Cross, a duel between numbers four and five in the standings. In the last quarterfinal, teenage sensation Luke Littler will face Michael Smith. The semifinals and final will be played later in the evening.
