Michael van Gerwen and Dimitri van den Bergh headline as all attention turns to a Premier League Darts play-off push.
While it's lights out for Rob Cross and Glen Durrant, there's a beacon of hope on the horizon for the eight players left in the mix. After this three-night run, there'll be one more set of fixtures with fans - a true sign that normality is coming back to darts. Then comes the Premier League Darts Finals Night, an event for which everyone still has a good chance of qualifying.
James Wade started ramping up his play-off bid just as the threat of elimination started to grow; the result of a string of high quality performances is that Wade now sits fourth. He's just ahead of Jonny Clayton, who has provided consistent quality but not consistent results. With identical records and just leg difference separating them, you'd expect a closer match-up than Wade's 7-2 win over the Ferret on Night Eight.
Two players in very contrasting frames of mind meet in the second game of the night. Gary Anderson has bemoaned his "rotten" form of late. Over the past five games, only the now-eliminated duo accrued fewer points, and only the afflicted Glen Durrant posted a lower tournament average. Jose de Sousa, meanwhile, can afford to be more happy-go-lucky despite being only a point clear of the Scot. A De Sousa win would darken Anderson's mood yet further.
When Dimitri van den Bergh and Michael van Gerwen drew on Night One, the impression was given that the rookie and the five-time Premier League Darts champion might prove hard to separate. And so it's proving, with the pair second and third. Van Den Bergh could even go four points clear of his rival with a win here, but he'll be wary that a so far erratic MVG will have the perfect response to a Night Nine evisceration at the hands of Jonny Clayton in mind. It's extremely odd that Van Gerwen is bottom of the 180-hitting charts and joint-bottom of the 140 tally; that surely can't last. Can it?
Nathan Aspinall, despite being last year's runner-up, had never topped the Premier League Darts table. Until now, that is. The Asp has put himself in a brilliant position to make it to the final four yet again. Like his opponent, Peter Wright, his strength has been on the outer ring. Snakebite has been similarly outstanding when finishing, but has sometimes been overawed in the scoring stakes, like when Aspinall blew him away on Night Six.
