Schedule released for 2021 Grand Slam of Darts: Van Gerwen-Ashton and Wright-Sherrock set for opening night

The schedule has been released for the opening day of the 2021 Grand Slam of Darts which takes place on Saturday November 13 with a bumper double session of action.

Groups A-D headline the afternoon session with Gerwyn Price, current World Champion and World Number One as well as two time winner at the Aldersley Leisure Village facing Nathan Rafferty.

His World Cup teammate as well as Premier League and World Grand Prix champion, Jonny Clayton faces recent Development Tour champion, Rusty-Jake Rodriguez.

UK Open champion, James Wade faces Jim Williams, while Rob Cross will face Boris Krcmar. While Chris Dobey will face Rowby-John Rodriguez after Dimitri van den Bergh was ruled out due to Covid-19.

The evening session sees many top names in action including Michael van Gerwen facing Lisa Ashton and Peter Wright taking on Fallon Sherrock. As well as Raymond van Barneveld making his return to Sky Sports in Saturday's final match against Michael Smith.

Sunday's second group games as usual will see Saturday's winners facing off and the losers facing off with the schedule as a result to be confirmed in due course.
