Saturday night the last four matches at the World Darts Championship will be played before we enter the Christmas break.
After his stunning victory over Luke Woodhouse, Berry Van Peer will take on former World Youth Champion, Josh Rock. The two men met recently at the Grand Slam of Darts when Rock won 5-1 after a jolly match. Things will undoubtedly get a lot more serious now, as a spot in the third round of the World Darts Championship is at stake for both of them.

The evening will open with a duel between Ryan Searle and Tomoya Goto. The Japanese stunted in the first round against Ian White and now meets the number nineteen seed. They will decide who will face Joe Cullen in the next round.
Next up is a cracker between scoring beast Stephen Bunting and recognized finisher Ryan Joyce. The latter played an excellent match in the first round. Thanks to an average of 100.32, Joyce triumphed 3-1 against Alex Spellman. Incidentally, both players showed form at the end of November during the Players Championship Finals in Minehead, where Bunting managed to reach the quarter-finals and Joyce even the semi-finals.
The first period of the World Darts Championship will conclude with a fine affair between Nathan Aspinall and Ricky Evans. Anyway, the walk-ons of both men are going to make for a big party at Alexandra Palace. Evans already has one match under his belt at this World Darts Championship. 'Rapid Ricky' started weakly against Simon Adams, but eventually played two rock-solid sets and 'just' won 3-0 over the South African. However, he will have to do a lot better against Aspinall, who in the past two times reached the semi-finals at the World Darts Championship and this year won the World Matchplay.
