Martin Schindler suffered a painful defeat in front of his own crowd on Saturday night. He was beaten 6-0 by William O'Connor in the second round of the European Darts Open.
The German was quite disappointed with his play afterwards. ''I'm definitely upset about how I came for the day. I didn't even manage to get a foot in the door. Maybe I wanted it too badly,'' Schindler said.
Schindler did praise the crowd's relentless support. ''You guys were too good, too bright and too brutal. Even though I lost the match 6-0, you guys kept singing to me. That really touched me.''
