Schindler delighted the home crowd with a victory over the Dutch icon. There were 4,000 people cheering on 'The Wall' creating a cacophony of noise and he harboured them to his advantage with a 6-4 win.
Initially, Van Barneveld led 3-2 but was broken at 3-3 and Schindler consolidated with that break proving vital at 4-3. He edged ahead again on double 16 before sealing the deal with another break at 6-4 with Van Barneveld not getting a chance at 96 to send it all the way.
While that was a closely fought tie, De Decker's win was anything but as 'The Real Deal' showed he is exactly that with a 6-1 thrashing of Smith.
Smith averaged more than De Decker with 92, 3 180's but missed all but one dart at double from his four attempts. These were at vital moments with De Decker breaking at 2-0. Smith's only leg came with an 11-darter for 3-1 but again he missed darts to allow De Decker a 5-1 lead with the Belgian sealing the deal from there.
