Scott Williams has claimed his maiden PDC
Challenge Tour title in the form of Event One to begin the 2022 season.
Williams saw off Robert Owen in the final 5-2 with an 88 average after previously averaging ten points more to see off Danny Lauby.
He also defeated Darren Johnson, Darryl Pilgrim and Conor Heneghan among others en route to the title.
The Challenge Tour circuit is open to players who have entered the Q-School but have not won a Tour Card. Places on the Pro Tour for 2022 and Tour Cards for 2023 and 2024 can be earned on this tour.
The highest-ranking players on the PDC Challenge Tour Order of Merit qualify for the reserve spots at the Players Championships.
