Searle survives comeback from Gawlas, Heta dispatches Durrant

The second day of action at the Grand Slam of Darts continues with victories for Ryan Searle and Damon Heta who add their first points in this year's tournament.

Searle faced off against Adam Gawlas, who lost out to Gary Anderson in a game which featured the latter's post match interview where he accused the 18-year-old of potentially cheating.

He nearly defeated 'Heavy Metal' who went 3-0 up with a 115 average but from nowhere Gawlas to make it 3-3 and pinned a 100 checkout to force the decider before missing a match dart in the decider and Searle returned to hit 76 much to his relief as he claimed victory.

While for Heta, it was a lot more comprehensive with victory over an out of sorts Glen Durrant who once again can not hit the heights on his return to action after suffering from COVID-19.

For 'The Heat' though, it is a first win of this year's Grand Slam as he came through 5-1 with three 180's, a 94 average and 45% on the doubles compared to an 89 average, two 180's and 1/6 on the doubles from the Premier League champion.
