The second iteration of the PDC Home Tour has been announced and will be held between August 31-October 15.
A global success during the Coronavirus pandemic and an event which was won in the end by Nathan Aspinall. The second PDC Home Tour will give the opportunity for lower ranked players to compete in ten seven player groups.
This first phase will initially take place between August 31-September 28. Top three players in each group alongside the five best fourth-placed players will qualify for the 35-player second phase.
From there, the the top four in each group and the best fifth placed player progress. The third phase sees the top two from each and the best third-placed player move into the Championship Group.
Among those involved include Matthew Edgar who revealed the concept on his YouTube channel, he is part of the second group including Jamie Lewis, Alan Tabern and Barrie Bates.
The first group who will compete on Monday sees Andy Boulton, Mike de Decker and Adrian Gray joined by Joe Murnan, Geert Nentjes, David Pallett and Conan Whitehead.
It will commence every day from 09:30am BST and will be broadcast through PDCTV to all subscribers.

- Many fans had a sour taste in their mouth by the end of this match. Mike was cruising to victory, playing beautiful darts, when the whistling started in earnest, particularly on his doubles. You could see in Mike's face that it was really affecting his concentration. The referee should have asked for order, just to show that the whistling is unacceptable, and Luke Littler could also have done his part to quieten down the crowd instead of "taking full advantage.:" I put that down to his age though. He needs some good advice on this from his management team and/or more seasoned players. It's got to be about who's best on the night, not who is being harassed by the crowd. Luke Littler played well to get back into the game and win, but it was a hollow victory. If he goes on to win the tournament, that triumph too will be tainted because of this match.
